For two weeks, something simple (but powerful) happened across Pottawatomie County.


People started winding down. They took a few extra steps. They paid attention to their sleep.

And it added up in a big way.


Pogo's first-ever Pottawatomie County Sleep Challenge is officially complete, and the 2026 results speak for themselves. Take a little deep dive with us.


What We Accomplished Together


In just 14 days, this community turned small daily choices into something worth celebrating:


  • 143 participants took on the challenge

  • 8,185,846 total steps logged

  • 3,214.58 miles covered across the county (and then some)

  • 23,783 active movement minutes

  • 3,248 interactions through app visits, likes, comments, and chats

  • 376 friendships formed along the way

  • 767 goal streaks completed


That’s a lot of putting your wellness first, and a whole lot of people choosing to show up for themselves.


More Than a Challenge


This wasn’t about tracking sleep or getting a perfect eight hours on the regular. It was about building habits that actually last.


That looks like:

  • Swapping late-night scrolling for healthier wind-down habits

  • Taking a walk after dinner instead of staying on the couch

  • Checking in with a friend, coworker, or teammate

  • Learning how sleep impacts your whole body health and doing something about it

A Community Effort


The Sleep Challenge worked because this community showed up. From individuals committing to healthy bedtime routines, to workplaces, schools, and local partners helping spread the word, this was a true Pottawatomie County effort.


And along the way, something even bigger happened: people connected. New friendships formed. Conversations started. Encouragement spread like wildfire.


That’s the kind of ripple effect we’re here for.
